The Company, History
Since 1948
Max Lehner founded Max Lehner & Co AG with CHF 2'001 on the 1st of January 1948 with a
clear-cut philosophy. He wanted to develop and build on guarantees of high value and also
bring the company itself forward with both technologically sophisticated and above all
useful products. Quality, rather than quantitative growth was always the motto.
He was an entrepreneur and inventor with an uncompromising focus on quality. The numerous
patents and innovation awards he received are testimony to his work. Starting with the
world's first easy-to-use hand-knitting machine (Trimac), and the successful egg packaging
made from recycled paper (1961) to fully automated weight and price labelling systems for
food.
The traditional, proven virtues of the founder cater well to the demands of modern times, and
are upheld with the leadership of his the three sons since 1984.
